This course is intended for the training of hazmat employees responsible for the handling, shipping or transportation of fully-regulated and excepted lithium batteries by all modes domestically and internationally using the 49 CFR, the TDGR, ADR, the NOMs, the IMDG Code and the IATA DGR, and explains of the various types of battery technology in use today. It has been designed to meet the function-specific training requirements of the regulations and can be used for initial and recurrent training.
The course meets the regulatory training standards set out in the IATA DGR, Section 1.5 (as well as those in the 49 CFR, Part 172, Subpart H) for all dangerous goods employees involved in the safe transportation of dangerous goods by air and includes all recent amendments.
