This course is intended for the training of employees responsible for the handling, shipping, or carriage of dangerous goods by ground (road) using the ADR (Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) within the ADR Contracting Parties. It provides the required elements of general awareness, function-specific training as well as safety and security awareness, and can be used for initial and recurrent training.
The course meets the regulatory training requirements set out in ADR, Part 1, Chapters 1.3 & 1.10, for all persons involved in the safe carriage of dangerous goods by ground and includes recent amendments.
Learning Objective(s)
- Navigating ADR to determine classification/identification, packaging, marking, labelling, placarding and documentation requirements for the safe carriage of dangerous goods (DG).
Target Audience
- Shippers, carriers and freight forwarders (i.e. dangerous goods employees and their supervisors) who handle, ship or transport dangerous goods by road within the territories of at least two of the Contracting Parties; please note that drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods must receive additional training and certification in accordance with ADR, Part 8, Chapter 8.2.
